One of the best ways to raise awareness about Lyme & tick-borne illness is to participate in the run/walk or to support a runner/walker.
This year we have TWO options for participating in the race:
Whichever race you choose, you get to create a fundraising page that you share with people so they can donate toward your fundraising goal. (Don’t worry: it’s really easy to make a page where people can donate toward your fundraising goal. We’ll even give you easy ways to share the news with your friends on social media, email, or even via snail mail.)
By running/walking, you’ll have a chance to raise awareness about Lyme and also to raise funds for ILC so that we can keep SUPPORTING Hoosiers who have Lyme and SAVING more Hoosiers from the dangers of tick-borne illnesses.
Then, you’ll either RUN or WALK your race. Take pics and share the news! You’re going to make an impact! You’ll help people learn about the realities of Lyme, and also raise funds for ILC that will go directly to help SUPPORT Hoosiers who have Lyme and to SAVE Hoosiers from Lyme and tick-borne illnesses.
We are delighted to once again participate in the “Greatest Spectacle in Running”: the Indy Mini! ILC is one of the “Mini With a Meaning” participants so that runners/walkers in the races can also raise awareness for Lyme disease. These races are held on May 6, 2023 in downtown Indianapolis. Join us for a thrilling race day!
If you’re not into big crowds of excited runners, you can also participate in your own Virtual Race to raise awareness for Lyme disease and raise support for ILC. You choose the time, place, and distance! This race option is NOT affiliated with OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon or Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K.
You don’t even have to put on your running shoes to make a difference! Support an ILC runner by making a tax-deductible donation on one of their pages.
