2024 Virtual Run/Walk Fundraiser

May is Lyme Awareness Month!

Support Indiana Lyme Connect’s virtual run/walk to raise funds for Lyme prevention, marketing, and outreach for all Hoosiers.

Help us raise awareness about Lyme and tick-borne illness by participating in our virtual run/walk or donating to our fundraising event.

As a donor, every dollar of your contribution will go towards spreading awareness about Lyme prevention strategies and providing support for the Lyme community in Indiana. All donations to Indiana Lyme Connect are tax-deductible.

Here’s how the run/walk works:
1. Register for a walk or run below.
2. Create a fundraising page.
3. Tell people about your race!

Virtual Run/Walk:
You choose the time, place, and distance!

Create your own virtual run/walk experience to raise awareness for Lyme disease and raise financial support for ILC. As a walker or runner, you can choose the day, distance, and place where you will complete your run or walk during the month of May. In order to be eligible for prizes, your run or walk must be completed by May 31, 2024. Do it for a loved one, co-worker, or the Lyme community at large as a show of support!

  1. Register for your race. It’s a simple sign-up process, and there is no cost to register.
  2. Create your fundraising page. (Download written instructions for how to create your fundraising page.)
  3. Share the news with others and start training for your run/walk! (Scroll down to download graphics to share the news with your friends on social media or by email.)
  4. Complete your race by May 31, 2024.

Every participant who completes their run or walk will receive a pair of treated socks from Insect Shield. There are also additional prizes for the Top 3 fundraisers and all participants who raise $200 or more!

When the big day arrives, run or walk your selected distance and know that we are cheering you on every step of the way as an ambassador for our organization. Be sure to take pictures and share the news! If you post to social media, be sure to tag us (@indianalymeconnect).

Your Support Will Make an Impact!

By running, walking, or donating, you’ll have a chance to raise awareness about Lyme and also raise funds for ILC so that we can:

  • Promote Lyme awareness and tick prevention to all Hoosiers
  • Educate Hoosiers about doable effective tick prevention strategies for themselves, their pets, and their property
  • Support Lyme patients, their families and caregivers, and interested citizens through resources and community
  • Connect Indiana healthcare professionals to accredited medical Lyme diagnostic and treatment Lyme educational opportunities
  • Influence government policy and resolutions that will advance awareness and prevention of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses

Thank you for your support and participation – you’re going to make an impact! You’ll help people learn about the realities of Lyme, and also raise funds for ILC that will go directly to help prevent Lyme disease and support those who have it.
